5 Corn Recipes You’ll Want to Make Tonight

Back in elementary school, piles of grilled sweet corn always accompanied the bitter start of each new school year. Lightly charred and sprinkled with salt—no butter needed. As temperatures plunged and homework piled up, the grill would retreat into the garage until spring and my family and I would bundle up and wander though corn mazes each weekend. Corn took a savory turn and popped up after school each night in soul-warming custards and wedges of cornbread slathered in honey.
You might not have a grill (or a cornmaze) here in the city, but you can still celebrate the end of corn season by taking advantage of all the fresh corn piled up at the farmers market before it’s gone for good.

Make a meal out of it and cook this corn, burst tomato, and zucchini galette from Smitten Kitchen. Store-bought pie crust works in a pinch, but taking the extra 15 minutes to make the dough from scratch will give you flavors a world away from anything you can pick up at FroGro.
