Audi Feastival: An Evening of Appetizers and Artists

Hors d’oeuvres, an open bar and Philadelphia’s art scene dressed to the nines—what else could you possibly ask for? On Monday, August 11, the Audi FEASTIVAL Patron Party took place in the cozy Twenty Manning Grill. The fete benefitted FringeArts, a contemporary group that supports local artists and puts on a vibrant festival every fall.

Partygoers grazed upon voluptuous cheese and charcuterie plates as well as a wide array of bite-sized culinary gems. Philadelphia’s top chefs came together in order to create a list of hors d’oeuvres that ranged from tuna tartare with rice crackers to anise braised pork belly.

One of the night’s highlights came from Twenty Manning’s very own chef, Kiong Banh. Banh’s impeccable pork pot-stickers with balsamic soy were soft and tangy. We may have chased after the caterer for several more, but who wouldn’t have?

A variety of wines including Clifford Bay Sauvignon Blanc and La Flor Malbec were featured at the event, but the party’s specialty cocktail was the true standout. Made with Aviation gin, fresh lime and wasabi syrup, the “Feastival Fizz” successfully combined flavors atypical to the average cocktail. The touch of wasabi syrup was just enough to give the drink a bit of a kick without overpowering the lime.

As if we needed any more, Audi offered guests olive rosemary cakes on their way out; let’s just say the treat never quite made it home.
