CHOW NOW: BrazBQ

We all have our guilty food pleasures. For me, it’s red meat—in any form—as long as it’s sizzling hot, juicy, and flavorful. Just this past week, my food dreams were fulfilled by an awesome steak sandwich from BrazBQ—the best (and only) Brazilian BBQ food truck on Drexel’s campus.

Now, I know what you’re thinking. When someone says “awesome steak sandwich” I usually ignore the rest of the sentence, avoiding adding yet another disappointing cheesesteak recommendation to my already extensive mental collection. But this steak sandwich is different. It’s is no ordinary cheesesteak—in fact it’s not a cheesesteak at all. BrazBQ’s steak sandwich was piled high with tender, juicy layers of Brazilian steak freshly cut off a roasting spit and drizzled with a homemade chimichurri sauce that was truly out of this world. Zesty, yet not overpowering, it added flavor while making sure the meat remained the star of the dish. Finally, the fluffy Kaiser roll topped the sandwich after a last minute addition of crispy lettuce and tomato and a pinch of crunchy potato sticks—a unique addition to an already uncommon sandwich.
