Easy Guacamole

Need a midnight snack?  Need to bring something to a potluck last minute?  This is an easy, money-saving, but surely delicious guac recipe just for you.

Ingredients:

2 avocados

1/2 red onion (finely chopped)

1 tomato (chopped)

1 clove garlic (minced)

1 lime (juiced)

salt and pepper to taste

 

Directions:

1) Cut avocados in half, remove pit, and scoop out with a spoon into a mixing bowl and mash.

2) Mix in garlic, onion, tomatoes.  Squeeze in juice of lime.

3) Add in salt and pepper to taste.

4) Chill in fridge for 30min~1 hour.

I’m sometimes tempted to put in enough salt to get the guac seasoned well on its own, but keep in mind the chips you are dipping it in – most will be salted so you don’t need to add in much salt!  I also like to put in a little bit more lime for the sourness to come out, but if you choose to dip Tostitos’ Hint of Lime flavored chips (so good…), enough lime will be given to you.
