Erica Chu-s Her Food: Welcome Back – Spring Break Edition
Erica Chu-s Her Food is a column mostly about Asian food.
Dear readers. Welcome back! I know it’s been a while. I hope you all have some beautiful tans to show off or some crazy stories to tell. As for me, I have neither, unfortunately. But don’t get too disappointed yet! Instead of absorbing Vitamin D and sipping on pina colada, I had an excessive amount of delectable food. Where did I go? Ladies and gentlemen, drumrolls please… I went to Hong Kong!
Here are some snippets of some mouth watery food I had during my stay there (shout out to my WCBS committee for hosting such an amazing trip). I also have the restaurants’ names down in case you want to visit or cheer yourselves up while drowning in midterms.
Rice with barbecued pork (Char Siu) and scallion oil chicken from Se Wong Yee:
Ramen & soup dumplings (Xiaolongbao) from Crystal Jade:
More recommended restaurants:
Simple Cantonese Fast Food:
Tsui Wah and Lan Fong Yuen
High Quality Dim Sum and Meals:
Tasty Congee & Noodle Wantun Shop and Yung Kee Restaurant
Authentic Dessert and Snacks:
Hui Lau Shan and Yee Shun Dairy Company
Cheers,
Erica Chu
