No-Bake Chocolate Cheerio Bars

Recipe by Sharon Dong
If you’re bored of plain old cereal with milk, you have to try these addicting cheerio bars! They are super easy to make with ingredients you probably already have in your pantry and are customizable with other yummy nut butters and cereals. I promise you’ll have fun munching on these crunchy and creamy bars for breakfast, on the go, or for a midnight snack!

Ingredients

  • Cheerios 3 cups
  • Honey 1/3 cup
  • Creamy peanut butter (or any nut butter you want!) 1/2 cup
  • Chocolate chips 1 cup
  • Directions

    1

Mix honey and peanut butter together in a large microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 15 seconds. Then mix and microwave for another 15 seconds. You should be left with a soft, creamy mixture.

    2

Mix the cheerios into the honey and peanut butter with a rubber spatula.

    3

Put the cheerios mixture in an even layer in a lined 8” x 8” pan and cool in the freezer until they can easily hold their shape (about 20 – 30 min). They will break easily if they’re not frozen.

    4

Cut into 8 even bars (or whatever size you want!)

    5

Melt chocolate chips in the microwave in 30 second intervals, mixing in between.

    6

Dip and drizzle! If your chocolate was too sticky like mine, I actually found it easier to spread the melted chocolate onto one side of the bar with a knife instead of dipping.
