CHOW NOW: Lemongrass Chicken FooWich

Have you ever been craving a burrito, but wanted Asian food at the same time? No? Well me neither—at least not until I chowed down on a lemongrass chicken FooWich from the Philadelphia Foo Truck.

It’s part burrito, part noodle bowl—a fresh tortilla filled with hot lemongrass chicken, crisp cucumber and carrot, chewy vermicelli noodles, peanuts, and rice. The Foo Truck serves them up all day (or at least I assume they do based on the length of the line at 36th and Market around lunchtime) and man, do they do it well. The ‘wich is stuffed before your very eyes, pressed on a sizzling hot grill, and gently wrapped in foil like the world’s most culturally-confused birthday gift. Delicioso… or tho’m ngon… who knows? So CHOW NOW on a lemongrass chicken FooWich—and don’t forget to jazz it up with some spicy chili sauce!
