Foodie Fun Fact: Crazy for Pizza

Dear Americans,

There is a statistic out there that I’m not sure is alarming or not. It’s about everyone’s favorite food: pizza. And what is this fact, you ask? According to multiple sources, Americans eat 350 pizza slices a second and consume around 100 acres of pizza each day.

All I can say is wow.

Also, around 93% of Americans have eaten pizza in the last month. Looking back, I realize that within the last three weeks itself, I’ve had four slices of pizza.

Guess we never really think about it. Next time, before you dive into the first slice of pizza for the new year, remember that you’ll eat another 45 before the year is up. Who knows, maybe it will be more than that!
