Free Ribs for the Superbowl!

The Birds may not be taking the field this Super Bowl Sunday, but that won’t deter Percy Street Barbecue (900 South Street, 215-625-8510) from throwing down a free rack of ribs with all to-go orders over $100 on February 2, 2014.

Every takeout order over $100 scores a free whole rack of pork ribs (ordinarily $22) cured overnight with sugar and salt, smoked, braised with orange juice, chipotle and root beer reduction, finished on the grill and glazed with a mixture of braising liquid and housemade Old Faithful barbecue sauce. For the truly hungry, every additional $100 in takeout earns another free rack o’ ribs, including catering orders placed with 48 hours’ notice.

“We’ve changed up the takeout menu to match the way people eat at home,” says Percy Street chef/owner Erin O’Shea.  “Meats by the pound, potato rolls by the pack and sides to share are an easy and delicious way to feed your crew.”

In addition to Free Ribs on Super Bowl Sunday, Percy Street has recently added a new Family Pack to its takeout selection: one pound of sliced brisket, one pound of pulled pork, pinto beans, collard greens, German potato salad and coleslaw with eight soft potato rolls for sandwich-building, for just $55.
