JG Domestic (2929 Arch Street) offers a delicious and affordable lunch option: Blue Plate Specials, a daily-changing noontime meal for just $12.50. Options range from their legendary burger to fried chicken and are available one day a week each, on weekdays only, from 11:30 a.m. till 3 p.m.

Blue Plate Specials include: Monday’s JG Domestic Burger, a custom-ground Wolfe’s Neck sirloin patty served with a slice of Jersey tomato, Bibb lettuce and thousand island dressing, with a side of their duck fat fries; Tuesday’s Fried Chicken, served with mashed potatoes; Wednesday’s Butcher Steak with crispy potatoes and opal basil chimichurri; Thursday’s Turkey Sandwich, house-smoked turkey with beefsteak tomato, bacon and green goddess dressing, served with winter bean soup; and Friday’s Fish & Chips, Atlantic cod and duck fat fries, served with malt vinegar mayo.
