Emmanuelle’s Huna Hut: Popping Up this Halloween

This Halloween, Thursday, October 31 from 8 p.m. until 2 a.m., it’s creepy tiki time at Emmanuelle (1052 North Hancock Street, 267-639-2470), where head bartenders Phoebe Esmon and Christian Gaal will host The Huna Hut at Emmanuelle: Skeletons of the Deep, a tropical celebration complete with custom cocktails and snacks from Carla Goncalves and David Gilberg, formerly of KooZeeDoo.  The drinks will be categorized as Balmy (forever blowing bubbles), Breezy (hold on to your hat), Kona Weather (umbrellas are useless) or Category Four (get to high ground), and will include:  Tree Frog, gold rum with banana, lime and allspice-galangal syrup;  Aurora Bora Borealis, Puerto Rican and Jamaican rums with orgeat, coconut cream, orange and lime;  Taipee Tea, bourbon with sweet potato-chai syrup, falernum and hot water;  and Bastard in a Basket, navy gin with bonded apple brandy, cognac, Benedictine, ginger and Angostura bitters.  All drinks will be $12 each.
