Sansom Street gets a Makeover: The creators of Federal Donuts, Steven Cook and Michael Solomonov, have announced they are opening two new restaurants. The restaurants will be located across from the Federal Donuts that is located on Sansom Street.
The first restaurant is called Dizengoff, and will be a restaurant focused on hummus. It will offer many different varieties of hummus, as well as pita, condiments, pickles, and a beer list. The space will be small, only boasting 25 seats, and will be open seven days a week.
The other restaurant, Abe Fisher, is focused on serving Jewish cuisine. Solomonov has said the cuisine is based on “foods and dishes found in the Jewish communities outside of Israel”. The menu will focus on small plates, and will also have a tasting menu. Goodbye Hillel hello Abe Fisher.
Now Opened: Headhouse Crab and Oyster Co. is now open with Chef Mike Stollenwerk creating the menu. The restaurant features many different types of crab, as well as other shellfish such as lobster, shrimp, and clams. We can’t wait to eat seafood for days.
