PHILADELPHIAReading Terminal Market will host its 5th Annual Party for the Market on Saturday, February 21, 2015 from 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Reading Terminal Market Preservation Trust to preserve the Market for future generations and support performing arts and other cultural programming.

With more than 700 attendees expected, the Party will feature dancing, continuous live entertainment on two stages, four open bars featuring specialty cocktails, beer and wine, and a diverse selection of delicious foods and desserts that have been donated by more than 30 of the Market’s revered merchants. The evening will also feature ambient entertainment stations that will be arranged throughout the Market for guests, including a palm reader, latte art by Old City Coffee and “Adventure Tastings” of exotic and unusual fruits, veggies and cheeses at Fair Food Farmstand. Live musical performances will take place on two stages and will feature Delaware Valley’s premier party dance band, Six of One.

Brent Cossrow, vice chairman of the board for Reading Terminal Market, hasn’t missed the event in the past five years. He says,

“The best part is getting to see the merchants interact with people who love the market–especially the kids.”

Mr. Cossrow is on a first name basis with most of the vendors at Reading Terminal, but he’ll never disclose his favorite.
